Animalistic

Wearing leopard print scarf from ebay ($7), AA white tshirt ($10), Collection B faux leather jacket, J Brand jeans, Miss Me boots.

I felt like Kate Moss with this scarf. Almost. I definitely got stares on campus. I'm not much of an animal print girl. I'm not much of a print girl period, so I wasn't sure how much I could take and thought a scarf would be the best way to ease into it. I also recently got a pair of animal print flats for free so I'm getting there. Do you own any animal print?

Don't mind my facial expressions. The husband and I both were in a rush that day. And there were a lot of people. Don't they have class or something...

animal print is my trusty sidekick. i have a zebra striped rug from urban outfitters that i adore to pieces (i know, not clothes, but still!) and a pair of leopard print flats that have seen better days, but i love them too much to throw them out. i think animal print has to be done in moderation, and i love your scarf.

at first i thought your jacket was from the miley cyrus line at walmart. confession: i own one, and i rock it, hard :).

That's a fabulous bomber. Love the scarf, too, of course!

One of my favourite outfits on you! Simple, elegant, casual & smart all rolled into one!

Love leopard print, a little too much of it in my cupboard!

The scarf just adds that extra something to your look. love it!

I don't have any animal prints as of yet; I'm a little bit daunted by the idea of wearing them. I have been looking at more subtle items like shoes and scarves.

Your pairing of black with tan accents is great. You've inspired me to try a look similar to this :)

I'm not really an animal print person either, but that scarf is so great on you!

I have a cheapie pair of giraffe print flats I got at Payless, they are pretty comfy but I just don't wear them that often, as cute as they are

I am not a huge fan of animal print, I am very picky about what I think looks good, but OMG I love the scarf!! I really like that pop of color :D

I actually just bought my first animal print piece of clothing yesterday. But I'm not even sure if I'm going to keep it. I may end up returning it =/ We'll see. I'm just not entirely sure it looks good on me, I'll post a picture on my blog of the haul I did, and get feed back from everyone and then decided if I return it or not

2 pairs of leopard print shoes and a few animal print tops, lol!

Omg I wish we lived in the same city so we could hang out! My hubby is working and to keep busy I'm reading Harry Potter (nerd alert!) and baking.

I'm gonna post a recipe for Pumpkin Muffins tomorrow, you should bake some for the hubby ;-)

Drooling over that jacket btw!!

Michelle said...

I like the animal print! And I tend not to, so that's saying something. I like how you're outfit isn't too busy since you wore white and black, and let the print take the attention.

PS. I like the facial expressions, they seem more candid. and candid=fun

I do not own animal print. I guess I'm too chicken. Plus my husband always says that animal prints belong on animals and I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to challenging his fashion views!! But you look sassy and brilliant, as always!

I own a fairly good bit of animal print. It's like a bright color, you really only need a small piece to make your outfit pop.

I don't own any, but I like how you used it. I could see owning some fun flats someday. :) Maybe a cardigan or something. Overall I enjoy seeing other people incorporate it, but I don't think it's my thing---though I do like prints.

I love that your kept the other pieces simple & let the scarfe do the talking :)
I don't own any animal print but a few years back when it all came back in, (as well as the craze of the ballet flat) I had a pair in zebra & one in leopard stripe. I was 14-15 & the coolest kid on the block. Haha

i'm actually really conservative when it comes to animal prints. just borrowed one of my sisters zebra print dresses and its still hanging in my closet... unworn. i don't know why i'm so bashful about it, haha!

but you in that leopard print is rockin'. love the slightly tough look.

I'm not really into animal print, but I love it on other people. My sister Adrien's signature shoes are leopard print flats. They just suit her, somehow.

I love your look with the black and leather and everything!

I too have been toying with animal prints! I went through a crazy animal print phase towards the end of high school..they really just never seem to go out of style! You definitely did animal print the right way...muted pieces and then BAM animal print! You look lovely!

Thank you for all of your well wishes! You are so sweet! :)

I like the look. Very rock 'n roll chic, especially with the bangs. The only animal print I have is a very tame zebra-striped dress, but I would like to find one classy leopard print that I could combine with basics.

i adore that bomber! (and i love the new pink jacket too!)

I love coming to your sight and seeing you on the grounds of the U, it makes me all nostalgic, and I remember the newly wed days of my husband and I, SLC, working, school, meeting each other in the student union for a coke and more studying! living on a modest budget, and loving our simple life!!! By the way what is your major?

Cindee Lou said...

I think they were staring because they were jealous. I don't know what you're talking about: there's no need to be afraid of animal prints. You rock it!

the scarf takes the look to another level

I actually love animal print, I have three shirts, bag, wallet, skirt, lining in one bag, and sunglasses in leopard print (different colors and shades). I don't know why I gravitate towards it. I also have zebra print and giraffe print items. I just make sure not to wear them all at the same time (I'd look like a jungle lol).
