Embellished

Wearing Ann Taylor Loft top ($9), thrifted belt, skirt from Korea, Miss Me boots.

I LOVE my new ATL top!! especially because of the embellishment of the fabric flowers. It's such a simple design (that many people could DIY) that adds so much to a basic tee. Now I want to do this to all of my tshirts....once I figure out my new sewing machine. Did I mention I'm a horrible sewer? My husband is better than me.... This was the day (Thursday) that I realized I needed brown boots too. Don't you agree? There's too much black going on here.

Well, it's 9:30 and I ate a lot of post-Halloween candy today so I should probably run or something. Anyone want to join me? :)

That skirt is really really cute! I love the clean look of the shirt too! But the embellished flowers make it special too without standing out too much!

Can't wait to see what you wear your new boots with!

That skirt is absolutely amazing - such a classy length and amazing fabric. I love how you interpret your clothes so they are modest but you always look classic and NEVER frumpy. :)

So cute :) I'm going to have to go to Korea to get me one.

My husband makes fun of me when I tuck my shirts in my skirts... so I'm too afraid to try it.

I think that outfit is great with black *or* brown boots! I've got a very underused sewing machine. I'm okay but I usually need help. My mom used to sew a lot when I was a kid, but now she even says that it's easier and cheaper to just buy things on sale!

I love the skirt, it's great that its a bit longer than most jean skirts! I definently agree that the little flower detail brings alot to the shirt...too bad I'm not good at diy

@ Chelsea Nicole You shouldn't be afraid to try it! I do it ALL the time. I'm an hour glass figure so to show that off, I HAVE to belt my skirts there or else I would probably emphasize the wrong parts of my body, i.e. hips! Check where the smallest part of your body is and if it's your waist in the middle, why not try tucking in shirts into skirts? If you keep them out and over your skirt, it'll only elongate your torso and probably shorten your legs. We want LONG legs and curves! Try it out and tell me how it goes! Or better yet...take some pics and email them to me! ;)
